Forensic acquisition of data from a mobile device, that can contain, calls, text, media files, audio files, location data, browser history, social media feeds.  There are numerous artifacts types that are available to be capture.  it is just dependent on the operating system, and security features of that specific device.  It is a common practice in  civil and criminal investigations to acquire a phone to prove or disprove someones story or timeline of events.
