It varies
This rate is dependent upon the area in which you live. A with any service, call and talk to a couple companies. See if they offer different solutions, or have a different thought on how to accomplish and actually close your case.
Here are some hints that we have talked about before
- Make sure they actually are in your area and not some national firm that hire the cheapest sub-contractor in your area.
- Are you talking with the actual investigator that will be working your case, the owner of the company, or something more than an answering service?
- When comparing 2 companies service quotes or prices, make sure you are comparing apples to apples. 8 hrs of surveillance, may be 4 hours on site, 2 hours travel, and 2 hours of report writing.
- Make sure they are licensed and insured.
- Make sure they can explain what sort of report or documentation they will provide at the end of your case.
- Ask about additional costs for reports or photos.
- Ask about billing for travel time and mileage fees.
- Do they sound knowledgeable when discussing case?
- Do they feel trust worthy?
- Don’t rely completely on internet reviews as you would normally do, who would really share their private info to post a private matter?
- Find an agency that does strictly investigations. You don’t need a security company.
- Do not use craigslist.
- Do not click on ad links or paid advertisements. you are paying a premium to help pay for those ads.
