This not security, This is covertly watching our client and their behavior to detect and document someone else conducting surveillance. It often goes a step further towards a criminal act of harassment and stalking behavior. This can included electronic surveillance conducted via electronic device access.
Everyone has heard about spyware and monitoring software on computers, but the majority of people today are using smart phones and not PC for daily communications. Spying via a spyware on a phone is in some ways more invasive than conducting a traditional surveillance. That cell phone is taken everywhere and is always in hand so that device has access to a lot of conversations and locations that a traditional investigator does not.
That is not even going into the whole aspect of E-surveillance via access to the phone activity itself. That’s a whole separate thing in my mind. It is data surveillance as apposed to physical “location” surveillance” ( for lack of a better term). Counter surveillance is NOT going to detect “electronic surveillance” but it can lead us to a logical conclusion that that is occurring.
